We are a start-up primary school that opened our doors to pupils for the first time in August 2018, as a result of the Department of Education polling parents of pre-school children in the Fermoy catchment area as to their preferred patronage of a new school. Parents voted for Educate Together. In June 2018, the then Minister for Education & Skills, Richard Bruton, announced that Fermoy Educate Together National School could open.

The school opened on August 27th 2018. Initially in temporary accommodation, the school was originally situated for the first year in Fermoy Community Youth Centre. We re-located end August / early September 2019 to a renovated section of the Cork Education & Training building on McCurtain Street. We now have a separate access, off Waterloo Lane, and will fill four classrooms on the lower ground floor of this building.
